The goal of this programme΄s priority is to make Europe a more attractive location to invest in research and innovation (including eco-innovation), by promoting activities where businesses set the agenda. It will provide major investment in key industrial technologies, maximise the growth potential of European companies by providing them with adequate levels of finance and help innovative SMEs to grow into world-leading companies. All of this will consequently lead to establishment of new job positions and market opportunities. Every euro invested by EU produces added value of approx. 13 euro. The additional increase of EU investments to 3% of GDP until 2020 would produce the establishment of 3,7 million of new job positions.
